How we use cookies

We keep our cookie use minimal. We use strictly necessary cookies to run sign-in sessions and the Practice Desk simulator, and the Practice Desk renders charts using our own first-party charting tools built on the open-source KLineCharts library (loaded from the jsDelivr content-delivery network); they set no third-party cookies or storage. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. The only optional cookie is a first-party referral cookie (ve_ref) that credits the share link you arrived from — it is set only if you accept optional cookies and never if you decline. Cookies we use

The main cookies set by ValorEdge are:

• ve_sim (strictly necessary, first-party, ~1 year) — keeps you signed in to the Practice Desk simulator.
• ve_admin (strictly necessary, first-party, ~12 hours) — authenticates the site administrator.
• Academy session cookie (strictly necessary, first-party) — keeps you signed in to the ValorEdge Academy.
• ve_consent (strictly necessary, first-party, ~1 year) — remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask on every visit.
• ve_ref (optional, first-party, ~90 days) — if you arrive from one of our referral or share links, this remembers which link so we can credit it should you later sign up. It is set ONLY if you accept optional cookies, and is never set if you decline.

Necessary vs. optional cookies

Strictly necessary cookies are required to operate the site and do not need consent; turning them off would break sign-in and the simulator. We use no advertising cookies and no third-party analytics trackers. The only optional cookie is the first-party referral cookie (ve_ref) described above — it is set only after you accept optional cookies and not at all if you decline, and you can change your choice at any time. Charts are rendered by our own first-party charting tools using the open-source KLineCharts library (loaded from the jsDelivr content-delivery network); they set no third-party cookies.

Managing your cookies

You can record or change your choice using the cookie banner or the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block or remove cookies and clear site data. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent sign-in and the simulator from working.

Third-party cookies

Charts on the Practice Desk are rendered by our own first-party charting tools using the open-source KLineCharts library (loaded from the jsDelivr content-delivery network); they set no third-party cookies or storage. When paid checkout is live, our payment processors (for example, Stripe or PayPal) may set cookies on their own pages.
