Who we are

ValorEdge Investing is the controller responsible for your personal information. For any privacy question or request, contact us at members@valoredgeinvesting.com.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:

• Information you provide: your name, email address, optional phone number, and any message when you request enrollment or contact us; the email and display name you use to create a Practice Desk account; and the credentials and profile details you provide for the Academy.
• Simulator activity: the virtual trades, positions, and any team you join — used to operate the paper-trading game and leaderboards. This involves no real money or brokerage data.
• Automatic and technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages, and timestamps, collected through server logs and cookies.
• Cookies and similar technologies: see our Cookie Policy for details.
• Payment information (when paid memberships launch): handled by our payment processors (for example, Stripe or PayPal). We receive limited confirmation details and do not store full payment-card numbers.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

• respond to your requests and provide the Services you sign up for;
• create and operate your account, the simulator, and team competitions;
• deliver the ValorEdge Academy and related educational content;
• send you service messages and, where you have consented, news about enrollment and roadmap milestones (you can unsubscribe at any time);
• secure, debug, maintain, and improve the Services; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Legal bases for processing (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or UK, we rely on the following legal bases:

• Consent — for marketing emails and any non-essential cookies; you may withdraw consent at any time.
• Contract — to provide the simulator, Academy, and other Services you request.
• Legitimate interests — to secure, operate, and improve the Services and review our own server logs, balanced against your rights.
• Legal obligation — to keep records and respond to lawful requests.

Cookies and tracking

We keep cookie use to a minimum. We use strictly necessary cookies to run sign-in sessions and the simulator, and the Practice Desk renders charts using our own first-party charting tools built on the open-source KLineCharts library (loaded from the jsDelivr content-delivery network); they set no third-party cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. See our Cookie Policy and use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer to record or change your choice.

AI features and providers

Some features use third-party artificial-intelligence services. We use DeepSeek, an AI service operated by a provider based in the People's Republic of China, to help generate and structure course content and to power AI-assisted educational features.

When you use these features, the prompts, text, or materials you submit may be sent to and processed by the AI provider, including transfer to and processing on servers located in or accessible from China (see “International data transfers” below). Please do not submit sensitive personal information to AI features. AI output is generated automatically, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and is for educational purposes only — it is not professional, financial, or investment advice.

How we share information

We share personal information only as described here:

• Service providers and processors that help us operate the Services under confidentiality obligations — including our web hosting provider, email delivery, and payment processors (when checkout is live).
• Email delivery — transactional email (account, enrollment, certificate, payment, and support messages) is delivered via Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, an email service provider based in the EU), which processes recipient name and email address for delivery purposes only.
• AI providers — DeepSeek (an AI service operated from China) processes the prompts and materials you submit to AI features in order to generate and structure course content.
• Market-data sources (for example, Yahoo Finance and CoinGecko) receive only the ticker symbols you view — not your identity.
• Legal and safety — when required to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of ValorEdge, our users, or others.
• Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
• We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

International data transfers

We operate in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S. (including the EEA or UK), your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

Some features also use a third-party AI provider, DeepSeek, based in the People's Republic of China; content you submit to those features may be transferred to and processed in or from China. China does not have an EU or UK adequacy decision, so where required we rely on appropriate safeguards and/or your consent for these transfers.

Data retention

We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes described above or as required by law. Waitlist and marketing data are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them; account and simulator data are kept while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time.

Your rights (EEA / UK)

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• request correction of inaccurate data;
• request erasure (the "right to be forgotten");
• restrict or object to certain processing;
• data portability;
• withdraw consent at any time; and
• lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
• To exercise these rights, email members@valoredgeinvesting.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by law (generally within one month under the GDPR).

Your rights (California / CCPA-CPRA)

California residents have the right to know and access the personal information we collect, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information and do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require an opt-out. Submit requests to members@valoredgeinvesting.com.

Children's privacy

The Services are intended for adults (18+) and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 (or under 13 in the United States). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

How we protect information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Third-party links

The Services may link to or embed third-party sites and tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties; review their policies separately.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
